Thanks to Diane and Don of Urbanna Town marina. Yesterday, a local went to visit Po ... he then called me and mentionned that 2 hatches were opened (thanks Parker)... I tried to call Scott C at the boatyard and could not reach him ... I just sent an email to Diane saying help last night ... This morning, I got an email back saying that Don went to the boatyard and closed the hatches ...
Diane and Don have nothing to do with the boatyard and it is not there responsibility; but as a friend to another, they just went and did it ... Great people and many many thanks; very grateful to you
No real assessment oof the damage details if any except for a wet cushion ...

Hello Gang,
Made the trip from Great Kills to Cape May in 27 hours this time, 50% under "pure sail". Lots of wind from the beam and quarter. Could not get Peter the Dancer to steer properly. He simply could not deal with the gusts. Most probably my fault for not adjusting a proper lee helm.
So I turned the helm over to Magnet. Good old Magnet, what a woman, she never bitches and moans!
Plan on heading up the bay to Greenwich tomorrow. West wind, 10-15, gusting 25 forecast. Hope I can lay the course.
Hey T-Bob, thanks for the info of cheap tie-up in Urbanna. But I'm slated to head south to Florida this year, the VA hospital in Madeira Beach. Need dentures & some kind a new "pig heart".

Sarah and Garth update ... Reedville, VA for now

Jean-

Garth and I met a family from New Zealand while we were in Reedville. They were living aboard a 56 foot boat with their two kids. We sailed with them on their boat to New York and helped them do some work. While there, we met a guy named David who owned one of the boats they did work on. David had a 8000$ apartment in Lower Manhattan, so he gave it to Garth and I for three weeks while he was on vacation with his family aboard his own boat. After the three weeks in New York, we visited Garth's sister in Boston. Then we came back to reedville to get our boat, planning on sailing south. But our engine needs work and we don't have the money for it. So we've had to put our boat up for sale and undertake a new project. Hope everything is well with you.

Montréal ...

De retour ... Je cherche mes repères sur terre. Le premier matin, je cherchais les cloisons de Po afin de me retenir, le petit mouvement de l'eau, les espaces fournis par l'eau ... Bizarre et un choc tous les bruits de la ville... Bon, on y est pour plusieurs mois et faut s'y faire

2 belles journées sur la rue St Denis avec Ray, Ja et Mme Mo. Plein d'histoires, des bouffes, des petits travaux, des déplacements, des rires avec un grand ami; comme toujours, c'est comme si on s'est vu la journée d'avant.

Coté travail; complété une offre de service avec Michel B.; rencontre la semaine prochaine et décision dans les jours suivants; mandat le fun si accepté. Rencontre prévue mercredi pour un poste en sécurité ... et une deuxième demande pour Québec pour un projet de 4 mois; la première est une référence de Yves R. mais sans nouvelle depuis 2 semaines ... Mathieu L continue ces recherches ... En résumé, 4 projets en cours; lequel et quand ... A suivre

Je vais voir fiston ce matin ... j'ai hate; cette aprème coupe de cheveux. (et on ramasse des habits de travail)

Demain, probablement Morin Heights et je dois confirmer a Khouz de venir me chercher dimanche pour une couple de jours (on va examiner quelle valeur Po devrait afficher, ou le publiciser, le texte, partie de hockey, blabla, etc.) ... Retour Mardi soir afin de pouvoir rencontrer une firme mercredi 10 AM (Contact de Mathieu)...

Toujours en squatting, pas décidé encore comment et ou je m'installe ... Ray (temporaire présentement) Suzanne ( a déterminer mais trop loin de Montréal), Sonia ( moins loins mais loin ... beaucoup de temps de voyagement) ... La meilleure solution semble etre Mathieu (chambre, metro, 5 minutes de Mtl. et Ray, etc. )...

Est ce que Po, l'eau , les grands espaces, le vent, les nuages, mes ami(e)s de la VA, etc. me manquent ? Mais très certainement !!!

Back in Montreal, looking for my references on land ... Very happy to be here and at the same time Po, the water, the open spaces, the wind, the clouds, friends in VA, etc. I miss dearly ... PS. JM, still awaiting confirmation of delete of data ...

Tipo est pret, Patachon est pret, Po sera sur le sec demain et Jean est presque pret ... Toutes sortes de questions sur Asie ... 3 options; option 1- California et voile sur Pacifique, 2 - Bateau de Norfolk a Hong Kong, Langkawi, Singapore, 3- Vente du Westsail sur la Baie et achat a Phucket d'un autre voilier ... Dans tous les cas, Po Chang est pas a vendre et demeure bien vivant et en santé !!! A tous mes ami(e)s de Urbanna et la cote Est, ce fut un plaisir et j'ai bon espoir de vous rencontrer ici, a Montreal ou ailleurs !!!
Tipo is ready, Patachon is ready, Po will be on the ground tomorrow and Jean is almost ready ... All kinds of questions on the Asia project ... 3 options; Option 1; Transport the boat to California and sail it to Asia, Option 2- Transport the boat by boat from Norfolk to Asia, Option 3- Sell the Westsail on the East Coast and buy another one in Phucket or around... In all cases, Po Chang is not for sale, is very much alive and in good health !!! To all my friends from Urbanna and the East coast, it has been a pleasure and I sincerely hope to see you again here, in Montreal or somewhere !!!

3-5 pouces de pluie en 3 heures ...

Ce truc a déversé 3 a 5 po de pluie dans 3 heures ... Po Chang est propre propre ... Selon plusieurs, c'est la quantité la plus importante de pluie depuis l'ours a gants Isabelle ... Extra et Super ... la température a baissé de 10 degrés plus ... Dodo tot car les 2 dernieres semaines, la chaleur était ouille ouille ... 3 heures de sommeil par nuit ... ce soir, on va dormir et dormir !!!

Po sera pret demain et sa sortie de l'eau est cédulée pour 1200 lundi . Content et triste de retourner a Montréal ... L'eau et Po vont me manquer terriblement ...
