A montreal presentement, depart demain pour Urbanna ou je recupere la moto et en profiterai pour etudier, visiter et m'amuser.

The westsail 32 Po Chang is sold to Mr Richard T of Chicoutimi, Quebec. It will leave Urbanna in the nex 15 days approx. Chicoutimi will be her new home port. Its new name will be Isobarre ... I will be in Urbanna, VA at the end of next week to assist on its preparation and say goodbye. Sad, but its new owner will take care of her. She will be navigating on the Saint Laurence and will visit Nova Scotia, les Iles de la Madeleine and more. I am certain she will be the envy of all and make her new owner proud ... Po Chang for the couple of months will be a motorcycle; the crew except Little Po have decided to jump on this new adventure ...

The W32 can be viewed in Urbanna, VA. It is on the hard at Cameron marine, 25 Cross Street, Urbanna ... When you get there get a coffee at Cross Street Coffee shop on Cross Street and if in need of assistance, they will gladly provide. Beautiful town and area to visit; excellent place to prep Po Chang for its next adventure. Best time to own it is presently; ideal spring temperature in VA !!!

La coupe demeure sur Po Chang; Les 'No Buddies' encouragés par Po Chang, Tipo, Patachon, Yoda, Cork ont gagné les 2 dernières séries 4 de 7 de 2009 par des scores de 4-3 et 4-0. M. Savage après une saison extraordinaire s'est écroulé lors des 2 dernières séries ... Des détails dans la prochaine édition du 'Tigiste Déchainé'
The cup remains in Po Chang; The 'No buddies' ecouraged by Po Chang, Tipo, Patachon, Cork and Yoda defeated teh 'Home' of Mr Savage in the last 2 series of the year; 4-3 and 4-0. Mr Savage's team had an incredible 2009 season but cracked up when it counted; More details in the next edition of 'le tigiste déchainé'...

En voyage, pas en vacance ... vie difficile !!! On a voyage, not holidays. 2010 arrive a grand pas ... Po Chang passera Noel avec Yoda ... Yoda a exigé qu'on refasse une beauté de Po; un peu beaucoup de TLC est a prévoir afin qu'il redevienne un 10! Yoda nous a aussi avisé qu'il est tanné de faire du 'sur place' a terre ... On va s'en occuper ... Po Chang will spend Christmas with Yoda ... Yoda requested that we refresh Po so it can shine on the water in 2010 and also mentionned that he was fed up of beeing on the hard ... In 2010, Po will  become a 10 again and   start moving again ... 6 months plus to go and GO

Po, Jean, Tipo and Patachon completed a meeting; a pre-holiday one. We discussed the small voyages we completed together during the last 2 years, the friends we met and lasting friendships which followed, the small towns and rivers visited on the Bay; we looked at photos; souvenirs, beautiful souvenirs ...
We talked about the night at anchor, the sunsets, the blows, the heat, and always the encounters and friends. We talked about the initial plan when we first started and the short distance we made; not very far but we built a crew which supported each other and became better.
Po described to us his satisfaction and joy at having us as partners and crew; all is now so easy, predictable and accomplished with care and precision; he also mentionned that he cannot envision himself without his friends or another crew for the coming years.
Not easy for a sailboat to adapt to a new crew; those guys - as you were - never knew what to do or when or how... brute force initially was the recourse; very unpleasant when you are a sailboat; not just a sailboat but Po .... Since 1975, many have come and gone, I am tired and fed up of those changes and prefer to stay with this crew for a long time ...
At the start of the meeting, I thought we would vote in order to determine ... We all decided to hang together and continue; we have still a long distance to go. Yep, Po is beautiful; she attracted lots of attention and HAs and HOs as well as compliments ... However, we continue !!! 2010 here we come ....

Une réunion a eu lieu ce soir entre Jean, Po Chang, Tipo, Patachon Cork (nouvel équipier). On a discuté des petits voyages qu 'on a complétés ensemble, des amis rencontrés, des villages et villes visités; on a regardé les photos des 2 dernières années ... que de souvenirs; de beaux souvenirs.
Des soirées a l'ancre avec musique, des coups de vent, du soleil assommant, et toujours des rencontres et de nouvelles amitiés. On a discuté du planning initial et ou on est rendu; pas très loin en distance mais on a bati un équipage solide qui se soutenait les uns, les autres.
Po nous a fait part de la satisfaction qu'il a maintenant de nous avoir comme partenaire; tout est plus facile, prévisible et réalisé avec beaucoup plus d'attention; il nous a aussi mentionné qu'il ne peut pas envisager un autre équipage que ces amis des 2 dernières saisons.
Pas facile en tant que voilier de s'adapter a un nouvel equipage; ils savent jamais quoi faire ou quand, ils me cognent partout; bref, depuis 1975 que ca change constamment ... il est un peu tanné et préfère demeurer longtemps avec nous.
Au début de la réunion, je croyais que l'on voterait afin de déterminer ... On a tous décidé de continuer ensemble; ouais Po est beau, il a attiré les regards et les compliments ... Mais on continue.

Urbanna Town Marina is great!!!

Thanks to Diane and Don of Urbanna Town marina. Yesterday, a local went to visit Po ... he then called me and mentionned that 2 hatches were opened (thanks Parker)... I tried to call Scott C at the boatyard and could not reach him ... I just sent an email to Diane saying help last night ... This morning, I got an email back saying that Don went to the boatyard and closed the hatches ...
Diane and Don have nothing to do with the boatyard and it is not there responsibility; but as a friend to another, they just went and did it ... Great people and many many thanks; very grateful to you
No real assessment oof the damage details if any except for a wet cushion ...
To all, Urbanna Town Marina, is one of the great place to stop !!! The people are incredible !!!

Hello Gang,
Made the trip from Great Kills to Cape May in 27 hours this time, 50% under "pure sail". Lots of wind from the beam and quarter. Could not get Peter the Dancer to steer properly. He simply could not deal with the gusts. Most probably my fault for not adjusting a proper lee helm.
So I turned the helm over to Magnet. Good old Magnet, what a woman, she never bitches and moans!
Plan on heading up the bay to Greenwich tomorrow. West wind, 10-15, gusting 25 forecast. Hope I can lay the course.
Hey T-Bob, thanks for the info of cheap tie-up in Urbanna. But I'm slated to head south to Florida this year, the VA hospital in Madeira Beach. Need dentures & some kind a new "pig heart".
